Learning Outcomes
- Gain a better understanding of the piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Identify functions of new items in P&ID’s.
- Understand different functions of control elements in plant
- Recognize different types of P&IDs including legend & symbols, process, utility generation, utility distribution, safety release gathering network, fire water, sewer collection system,<br>blanket gas & VRU, interconnecting, Battery Limit/Tie-in, control detail, piping detail, pump seal flush, sampling system, safety shower & eye-Washer, HVAC, etc.
- Avoid/minimize the mistakes due to misreading the P&IDs
- Avoid/minimize exerted cost adders because of change orders caused by unilateral mistakes on<br>the projects.
